And I got two sad ramekins of chocolate goo. I couldn't even bear to take pictures. So this will be a sad photo-less entry. And I am also sad. Really, it was very sad. I couldn't get past the texture to even try to appreciate the taste. Maybe I overbeat my whites? Maybe I used lousy chocolate? Maybe it was the silicon lined pan.
I don't know. I may try this one again, but I'm a bit souffle shy right now. Sigh.
Well, next week is my pick! This one will not fail! At least it had better not.

oh, what a bummer! i've already made your pick for next week, and it was great!
Bummer. :( Try again! I bet you will get it and be thrilled with the results!
Oh, so sad. Sometimes things just go awry...hope you get to try it again as it was fast, easy, and the guys devoured it...meaning it was a hit! I have faith in you...you will do it again and succeed.
You did not fail!
You TRIED! ;)
Looking forward to your pick next week!
Maybe it was just the baking gremlins having some fun at your expense. I made half a recipe and used a silicone-lined pan, too. It sounds like you did everything correctly, so it must be the gremlins. Please try again.
That IS really weird and a bummer for you. I had never made souffle and was really worried about it--I always thought they were eggy and I knew they were tempermental. But I halved the recipe, too and it turned out great! Yes, try again sometime! ;)
I'm so sorry that this one was a fail for you. I am looking forward to next weeks pick, but my hubs is looking even MORE forward to it. He loves Apple Turnovers. Great choice!
that's so sad! I made a half recipe and it was delicious. You should definitely try again sometime. Looking forward to your pick next week!
Sorry things did not work out this time with your souffle! Hope your souffle-shyness doesn't last too long! =)
I'm a bit scared for the Flaky Apple Turnovers - dough is really hard for me! I'm pie dough shy!!
AHH! Sorry it didn't work out.
That stinks...I was worried about over beating the eggs too, and I actually thought I "under" beat them...but it turned out good, so try again because it's worth it!!
